would be a upgrade for sure but i really don't see him being able to keep that save pct at that high of a level with the isls as they were. once they fix the defensive system any nhl goalie would be better than last yrs performance.

I dont think you're gonna see the isles having all of Hickey, Pelech, Mayfield and Seidenberg as 4 of the 6 dmen on the roster. Just a hunch ha

They didnt just hire Lou Lamoriello who just fired everyone to not be better defensively. Obviously as it was constructed it wasnt working. You're gonna see a better brand of hockey, with a better lineup for sure.

I think we as fans are going to have to realize that this isnt the same old country club isles. Accountability will FINALLY be addressed

Hahahah not even the case.......I just dont think all great players make great GMs. The islanders didnt get Duschene, because Sakic was acting like he had Connor McDavid up for grabs...

No matters now, as the isles have a budding star in Barzal

and he got a kings ransom for him, Giard, Bowers, and the Ott 1st round pick are legit. Kamenev could be good, still have a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

He got what he wanted so you cant throw shade at him

Girard was one of the Avs best Dman last season, at 19 years old.

Time is already telling. Kid is pretty special

Dont be a sheep, look at what Sakic has done once Patty Roy isnt fighting for control as well.

What Sakic has done post Roy is pretty impressive with basically starting with crap that built around for Roy as a coach and his VP of Hockey Ops vision

nah thats way too much.

Varly was 21-22 at the time of that trade and by the time his contract is up close to a decade of being an Avs goalie. Worth the investment.

Grubauer will be 27 next year and is still unproven as a starter...granted 30 starts last season was a nice sample size.

2nd round pick with another asset is the most I would roll the dice on him base. Similar to Talbot who was traded at 28 years old...for a 2nd, 3rd, and 7th round pick.

Thats what I think the value should be around
